AJ Signature Hand Wash
The Process
Duration: 2-4 hours
Let’s walk through what we actually do when your car comes in for our Signature Hand Wash.
This isn’t just a quick rinse and vac — it’s a full, hands-on, professional process, designed to make your car look as clean and sharp as possible.
Step 1: Interior Blowout & Vacuum
We always start with the inside.
- We use a tool called a Tornado, which blasts away dust and debris from hard-to-reach spots like under the seats, between seat rails, in cupholders, vents, and even carpet fibers.
- After that, we perform a full vacuum. Floor mats come out, carpets get vacuumed underneath, and we make sure to clean into every corner, seat, and the trunk.
Step 2: Wipe Down High-Touch Areas
We use an all-surface cleaner and microfiber towels to wipe down everything you touch:
- Dashboard
- Console
- Doors
- Buttons
- Screens
- Vents
Step 3: Exterior Wash Prep
Next, we move your car into our covered wash bay — important for avoiding sunlight, which can dry soap and water too quickly and cause water spots.
- We pre-clean and treat the mirrors.
- We spray a degreasing solution on areas with heavy buildup, like the bumper, grille, door jambs, and windshield edges.
Step 4: Wheels & Tires
We use special brushes to deep clean:
- The barrel of the rims
- Around the lug nuts
- Inside the wheel wells
We also clean and prep the tires for dressing.
Step 5: Foam & Contact Wash
We foam the entire vehicle with a thick layer of auto shampoo to lift dirt safely.
Then, we hand wash:
- Every panel
- Every window
- Every trim piece
- Every plastic surface
All done carefully by hand with great attention to detail.
Step 6: Final Rinse & Wax
We rinse everything thoroughly with a pressure washer.
Then, we use a foam cannon to apply Protector Wax, adding extra shine and protection.
Step 7: Precision Drying
We use air blowers to remove water from:
- Crevices
- Wheels
- Hinges
After that, we hand dry the car using soft drying towels to eliminate any remaining moisture and prevent water spots.
Step 8: Final Rinse & Wax
- We spray a fine polish onto the paint for extra gloss.
- We clean and dry the trim, moldings, chrome, and door jambs.
- Wheels get a final touch-up and tire glaze.
- Glass is cleaned inside and out.
